Teachers 4 Teachers Publications is an Australian company that was set up by a group of very experienced teachers to provide high-quality, contemporary learning resources for schools. Many years of combined practical teaching experience goes into the making of our products. It is our ultimate goal to continue to provide high-quality products to schools and teachers throughout Australia and the world.

A core philosophy for all of our products is that they are easy to use–both by teachers and their students.

Meet the team

Harry O'Brien

Managing Director / Teacher

Harry O'Brien is a very experienced primary teacher and an award winning author. Over the last 25 years he has written numerous best-selling primary textbook series including Maths Plus, Maths Plus Mentals and Homework, The New Primary Mathematics Handbook and Spelling Conventions. Harry is the creator and major author of the hugely successful Maths Box Lime, Orange and Aqua. He is also a major author of the enormously popular Reading Box Yellow, Blue, Red and Green. On top of his busy publishing and writing workload, Harry oversees the day-to-day running of the company.

Lauren O’Brien

Publisher / Author / teacher

Lauren is a qualified primary teacher and the principal author and publisher of the immensely successful Reading Box Yellow. Lauren also commissioned and published the best-selling series Spelling Conventions and Handwriting Conventions (NSW, QLD and VIC). She has also published Problem Solved and the History Now series.

Lauren is the major author of the best-selling series Grammar Conventions and Reading Conventions. Her most recent publication is our latest addition, Science Now.

Fiona Wrigley

Office Manager / Head editor

Fiona is the backbone of the T4T team. With many years experience managing clients in varying industries Fiona now operates the accounts, inquiries and the business side of the company.

Since following her passion for editing, Fiona has become the very talented and thorough head editor of all T4T products. She is an invaluable member of the publishing team. Fiona was also a consultant on the Grammar Conventions, Spelling Conventions, Reading Conventions and Science Now series.

Daniel Ferla

Head graphic artist / Warehouse manager

Daniel is the brilliant artist behind all T4T’s beautifully presented publications. Throughout his 9 years at T4T, Daniel has managed to master a style that is attractive to children and presents every activity in an easy-to-use format for teachers. His exceptionally high standards ensure that every T4T product is flawless before it is sent for printing.

Daniel has a long involvement with graphic media. He achieved first place in Visual Design at his school for his HSC. Daniel is also the very diligent distribution manager of the T4T warehouse.

Graham Roberts

Consultant / teacher

Graham is an invaluable member of the T4T team. Graham’s extensive knowledge of the fundamentals of the English language saw him become a major consultant on the Grammar Conventions, Spelling Conventions and Reading Conventions series.

Grahame is a retired primary school teacher who has taught in schools all over New South Wales.

Steve Murray

Author / graphic artist / teacher

Stephen Murray is a very passionate and creative primary teacher with vast experience in the classroom. Steve is the major author and illustrator of our best-selling Handwriting Conventions (NSW, VIC and QLD) series. He is also a writing contributor to the Reading Box and Maths Box series.

Steve has freelanced as a commercial artist for many, many years. His unbelievable artistic talents saw him become the national runner-up in the prestigious Walkley Awards for Excellence in Editorial Graphics. Steve is a major contributor to the artwork provided within our products.

Greg Purcell

Author / teacher

Greg Purcell is a very experienced primary teacher, former school executive, lecturer and author of many best-selling primary products including Maths Plus, Maths Plus Mentals and Homework, Handwriting Conventions (5-6) and Problem Solved. Greg is also a contributor to the Reading Box series.

John Barwick

Author / teacher

John Barwick is a recently retired teacher and headmaster. Throughout his career, John has authored over 50 educational resources, many of which are best-sellers. His most recent publication, our new Australian Curriculum based History Now series which is being very well received by teachers all over Australia. John looks forward to continuing his passion for education and working on many more fabulous resources with T4T in the future.

Deborah Reinholtd

Author / teacher

Debbie’s admirable passion for mathematics saw her join the T4T team as a contributing author of the Maths Box series. Debbie was discovered after she won the well-deserved 2012 Primary Maths Teacher of the Year award. She continues to work with T4T as a consultant for all of our mathematics-based resources.

Julie O’Brien

Consultant / teacher librarian

Julie’s love for primary teaching has spanned a 30 year career, with her last decade spent as an extremely enthusiastic teacher librarian. Julie’s fondness for literature and children’s books led to her becoming a consultant on the Reading Box, Grammar Conventions, Reading Conventions and Spelling Conventions series. Julie is also a contributing author to the Reading Box and History Now series.

Tim Higgins

Graphic artist

Since day one, Tim has been involved in the graphic design of T4T’s beautifully presented products. Tim specialises in humorous, age-appropriate cartoons and graphics that both students and teachers love. Tim has helped Daniel typeset the Reading Boxes as well as many of our best-selling series of workbooks including Spelling Conventions, Grammar Conventions and Science Now.

Matthew Comerford

Warehouse assistant

When Matthew isn’t at university working towards his commerce degree, he is our office and warehouse all-rounder. Matthew has also been a huge help with the enormous workload involved in producing the Maths Box series by answer checking and proofreading the content.
